Formed in 2020 in Stadtlohn, Germany, Try Angel is rapidly carving out its own space in the modern metalcore scene. What began as a vision by founder Frede Niehues (Vocals & Guitar) and Ben Schmittmann (Drums) has evolved into a high-energy powerhouse, further strengthened by the addition of Niklas Ratsch on Guitar and Backing Vocals.

The band’s journey is marked by a relentless work ethic: Following their 2022 debut EP You Won’t Take Me to Misery, Try Angel unleashed their first full-length album Underground’s Knees in October 2024. The record showcases their signature blend of razor-sharp riffs, melodic hooks, and raw, emotional depth. A sound that has already earned them a reputation for intense live performances.

Never standing still, Try Angel is currently back in the studio, crafting their next chapter. Their upcoming EP, Ancient Trees, is set for release in Summer 2026, promising to push the boundaries of their sound even further. Try Angel is ready to take their place in the metalcore world and beyond.
